Our weed and fertilization applications consist of granular as well as chemical sprays to optimize the health of your lawn. Broadleaf sprays control the common grassy weeds we have in the area (crabgrass, foxtail, knotweed), as well as control broadleaf weeds (henbit, dandelions, clover).
Please see the outline of the six-step process application process below.
Application 1: February/March
The first visit is designed to promote early spring green-up and provide your lawn with weed control. This treatment will consist of a balanced lawn fertilizer, pre-emergent crab grass control, and broadleaf weed control.
Application 2: March/April
The second visit will improve the color and thickness of your lawn. This treatment will consist of a fertilizer, a pre-emergent crabgrass control, and a broadleaf weed control.
Application 3: April/June
The third visit is designed to fertilize your lawn through the summer. This treatment will consist of a slow-release lawn fertilizer and post emergent weed control.
Application 4: Late June/August
The fourth visit is designed to prevent any lawn diseases, pest issues and/or adjust the PH of the lawn to ensure that your lawn can receive the proper nutrients. This treatment consists of a lime application (if needed), fungicide application (if needed), pesticide application (if needed), and a post emergent weed control.
Application 5: September/October
The fifth visit is designed to repair any damage from the summer heat to your turf. It consists of an early fertilization to improve your lawn’s ability to repair from damage caused by summer heat stress and promote seed development.
Application 6: November/December
The sixth visit is designed to feed your lawn over the winter months and prepare it for a strong spring. This fertilizer application will protect your lawns roots during winter as well as promote a healthy stronger lawn come springtime.
